Drawing tablet is an input device to computer through which a person draw images, graphics, make digital handwritten notes and navigate computer files similar to the way one draws graphics on a paper with a pencil. A radio frequency protocol allows more than one drawing tablet to be connected to a single system. Drawing tablet consists of two portions, flat surface for drawing and a special wireless pen known as ‘stylus’ to draw images on that flat surface. The accessories which are commonly used with drawing tablet are: puck, stylus, stylus eraser, tablet mouse, art pen and air brush. There is no need to stay rooted to one place - behind a lectern or in front of the class as drawing tablet is wireless.
Digital drawing tablet can be easily portable around the classroom while delivering lessons and interacting with students. It provides simultaneous interaction between student and teacher. It can be passed around the classroom for the students to navigate to their work, add notes or annotate over resources. Some Digital drawing tablet have customizable keys, located across the top of the tablet, acting as shortcut keys to various presentation files and Presentation equipments, such as Annotation Pens, Spotlight and Reveal. The drawing tablet software also contains a library of clip art images.
